REVIEW: Cattier Lip Care – My favorite average lip balm
Why do I love the Cattier Lip Care Balm?
- Although the balm isn’t 100% BIO, it does contain 100% natural ingredients of which 52% are BIO. So it is pretty safe to use it on your lips in the long run.
- The Cattier lip care doesn’t smell funny (unlike other balms…). Its scent is discreet and seems natural (doesn’t taste like medicinal herbs either). Its smell and taste are really pleasant.
- It is non-sticky. I hate lip balms that are too fluid and sticky. It just feels right on the lips.
- I also like the green and white package. Since I tend to use a lot of lip balm, I prefer a lip balm with nice package.
- It really is nourishing and moisturizing, although……
….Is this balm really suitable in the cold-cold winter?
NOPE. Every winter, my skin gets dehydrated and my lips tend to crack as well. With this lip care balm, my lips are still dry and almost cracked and I could peel off some skin and they started to hurt… So, NO, definitely no, it is not a winter balm. In winter I have to use another lip balm (Alphanova Repair), that I usually don’t use because it is sticky and very oily, but it is very good for cold weather and on its package it actually says “extreme conditions”.
How much does it cost and where can you get it?
I got the Cattier lip care balm from a local drugstore and I think you can easily find it online or… in a local drugstore.
It costs approximately 3€.
Some improvements (maybe)
The Cattier Lip Care Balm seems to be more an average balm, but I wish there was a similar lip balm that would have SPF. My lips do get burned during summer and I can’t use this balm if I go to the beach. I would like to also have a similar balm, but a summer balm. If Cattier would make 2 lip care editions: an “extreme” balm with SPF (for extreme winter and summer) and a normal one (like the one that already exists), that would be perfect.
