REVIEW: Wella Oil Reflections – Luminous Smoothing Oil

In my quest for finding the perfect hair serum, I decided to give a try to the much acclaimed Wella Oil Reflections – Luminous Smoothing Oil.

On Wella’s website, they say it is suitable “FOR ALL HAIR TYPES” and that it is a:

Versatile perfecting oil for hair smoothness and glossy effect, with macadamia and avocado oils.

Again, on their website, all the reviews are great. But it is their website, so it is not difficult to write the reviews by themselves. I never trust this kind of reviews, but I still bought it because Wella is known as a good quality brand.

There are a few good things about this serum:

cheaper than other high end hair products (Kerastase for instance)
smells really nice
detangles hair
no split ends
hair is easier to blow dry (well, yes, it is actually “Smoothing” as it is claiming to be)

The bad side about this product is that the product definitely doesn’t help you to get hair like this.

Anyhow, the product doesn’t make hair shiner, doesn’t make it glossier and doesn’t fight against frizz.

But it is not a bad product either. In fact, it is one of the best I ever had, even though my hair still looks crazy after using it. At least it is detangled, smells nice and has almost zero split ends.

If you don’t have an extremely pretentious hair, I do recommend this Wella Oil Reflections – Luminous Smoothing Oil product.

I don’t think I will repurchase it because it doesn’t do everything I hoped it would do. I will continue searching for the best hair serum… 🙂
