REVIEW: BIO LAVERA Deo Roll-on Bio-Orange
Since the point of reviews is to buy or avoid products based on what other people have experienced with them, I decided to make a new Category on my blog, based on the opinions of my friends. I do talk a lot about beauty products with my friends and I often buy something because they say it is good or I ditch a product because it was bad for one of my friends. So, this morning my friend Denise sent me a message saying that she never smelled so bad as she does with the Bio Lavera deodorant with orange fragrance đ·. She also sent me this photo with the…

REVIEW: LANCĂME HYPNĂSE Mascara… Worst mascara ever!
Since I have really sensitive eyes, I’ve always liked to invest in the best products that go near my eyes. Before buying this garbage mascara from Lancome, I had a really good one from Chanel. The problem with the Chanel one was that it didn’t really do much for my lashes, and since Lancome has such, but such good marketing and everyone was talking about how great this LANCĂME HYPNĂSE Mascara is… I decided to buy it and and give it a try. From the very beginning I didn’t like the brush. It is very hard and I had the feeling that it scratches my waterline. Also, with this kind of…

REVIEW: OPI Top Coat Vernis de Protection
I’ve been using the OPI Top Coat Vernis de Protection for about 6 years, so I might as well share my opinion about it. What they say it does: For a beautiful shining finish to your OPI manicure. The good side: The nails last really long. It really, but really, extends polish wear with no chips whatsoever for at least one week. The bottle doesn’t dry out. I don’t have time to use it every time I do my nails and, as you can see in my picture, I still have some product left and I’ve had this bottle for about 2 years. Some people complained on the internet that there…

Even cotton is polyester nowadays… :/
I was very disappointed to find out that my new make-up remover pads aren’t made entirely of cotton. I couldn’t find my old pads, so I bought some unbranded new pads because I thought it should be a very basic product, nothing could go wrong, right? Nope. I sensed a different feeling on my skin when I used these new pads, as if they would make my skin sensitive, like an allergic reaction. Also, they absorbed more micellar water, thus making me unnecessarily use more of the other product. When I read the label, I was shocked. It consisted in 70% cotton and 30% polyester. How could it be good…

REVIEW: Yves Rocher Face Cream – Day ELIXIR JEUNESSE
I received a sample of this cream on my first purchase from Yves Rocher. On their website it has the following description: Yves Rocher Face Cream – Day, REPAIRS SKIN AND PROTECTS AGAINST POLLUTION, Repair + Anti-pollution, ELIXIR JEUNESSE I am not a big fan of face creams and I will probably not buy it again, but I did use it on my face and all I can say is that: The hydrating action is moderate and the skin might feel a little bit greasy afterwards. The skin absorbs it in a moderate amount of time. It is a cream, kind of thick. Definitely not a gel, a serum or…

REVIEW: The Body Shop COCONUT and SHEA shower creams
I was very excited to receive as a gift these 2 cute little shower creams:Â The Body Shop Coconut Shower Cream and The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream. I tried each one of them once and I decided to write a review. My general opinion was that they are good products, more hydrating than regular shower gels, but a little bit too pricey for what they have to offer. I will write below my impressions about each one of these shower creams. The Body Shop -Shea Bath & Shower Cream The scent is a little bit masculine. It is very beautiful. I couldn’t say it is my all time favorite scent,…

REVIEW: Yves Rocher Brillance (Shine) Hair Conditioner
I bought this hair conditioner from a local Yves Rocher store, hoping it will make my hair soft and shiny. I payed 4 EUR on it, so it wasn’t very expensive, nor very cheap. What I liked The price is OK. It has 98% natural ingredients. The hair looks slightly shinier, although there is no miraculous effect. It has only 150ml, but it lasts long. What I disliked The first time I used it, it had an average smell. Then, it just went worse and worse. Now it smells like dead fish. Happily, the smell washes off and it doesn’t persist in the hair. Maybe the bad smell is because of…

REVIEW: Yves Rocher Exfoliating Raspberry Peppermint Shower Gel
How they describe it: THE PLEASURE OF AN EXFOLIATING SHOWER GEL WITH 100% FRUIT SEEDS AND ENERGIZING BENEFITS. Energizing Exfoliating Shower Gel – Raspberry Peppermint LES PLAISIRS NATURE Cost: 8 ⏠What I wanted This time I really expected from my shower gel 4 things: To be exfoliating To smell nice To be natural, if not BIO at least to approach this standard To be affordable There are 2 similar products that I used before and if you click their name, you will find their reviews: Sabon Jasmine (16.00 âŹ) and CLINIQUE Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliating Cream (âŹ32.00). The problem with these 2 is that they are too expensive, they…

REVIEW: Alverde Body Butter Klostergarten from DM
I bought this Alverde body butter from DM in Berlin for about 3 EUR. The main reason I bought it was that it is kind of natural and I also loved the packaging. I liked the idea of “Klostergarten”, which means “Monastery garden”. When I bought this body butter I was reading a book by Japanese author Soseki and I thought it was funny how the colors matched between the book and the cream’s packaging. Anyhow, here are my thoughts about it: Pros It really is hydrating, so it does what it should do. If you have dry skin, it is a good cream. It has only 200ml. I usually…

REVIEW: Sabon Delicate Jasmine Body Gel Polisher
I’ve received the Sabon Delicate Jasmine Body Gel Polisher as a gift from a good friend. It is basically an exfoliating shower gel and it costs approximately $19.00. I believe paying 19 dollars for a shower gel is A LOT and the gel should do wonders at this price. I’ve taken this photo when I had already used a third of the bottle, but now, at the moment of writing the article, the bottle is empty. It was an excellent product, it smelled nice (literally “delicate”) and left the skin soft and moderately hydrated. What I liked most about it was the scrub and the consistency of the gel. The scrub contains…
