I got very excited to find out about a great food sharing project that takes place right now in Glasgow, initiated by Strath Foodsharing Group (see here their Facebook Page). There is a community fridge, placed inside a building, where anyone can fill it up with food and anyone can take food. The people behind this get help also from local stores and other non-profit organisations (Community Arts Centre The Space, Garnethill Multicultural Centre and the Foodsharing Network), who bring them almost out of date food, so that it won’t land into the trash can.
