It’s not Christmas until you eat German Lebkuchen
For me, there is no other country where you can feel as Christmassy as in Germany. Germans are crazy about Christmas. They have very beautiful festivals, Christmas fairs, decorations and tons of specific foods and drinks. Among these foods there are the German Lebkuchen – similar to gingerbread, but more “german”. My favorite Lebkuchen are from brands such as Bahlsen or Schulte. This year I’ve bought Schulte. I usually don’t find these in shops all year round. Chris Isaak – Wicked Game versus HIM’s cover and its crazy amount of videos
Do you remember that strange, romantic song by Chris Isaak – Wicked Game ? It was released in 1989 and had great success. The band HIM made a cover of this song in 1996, and, once again, had great success with it. I personally like both versions. The Chris Isaak one is more suprarealistic, more arty, more alien. The HIM version is more commercial and somehow I think I liked it better. But, the point of this post is that I was surprised to find out that HIM released two different videos for Wicked Game: one for Germany and one for the rest of the world.
