Puma, the Cat from Atlantis
Atlantis in our culture When Discovery Channel wasn’t all about garages, gold rush and auctions, I was addicted to their (light) scientific broadcasts. This is how I learned about Ancient Egypt, about the Romans, about the Maya civilization and so on. This was also my first encounter with the story of Atlantis, that magnificent city which once, 10000 years ago, existed (maybe). Then I saw that sweet movie, Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001). I loved Milo’s determination and Princess Kida’s mesmerizing blue eyes. Apart from the fact that the movie has a lot of funny moments, it casts a warming light over the story of Atlantis. Giant fruits and scientific wonders Plato…

Christmas Cookies… Yummy yummy
Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful time! As you may know, I love Christmas cookies, especially German “Lebkuchen” (Gingerbread 🙂 ). Last year I wrote an article about the Schulte Gingerbread, which tasted amazing. This year I’m eating the Bahlsen Akora Gingerbread, that is covered in chocolate and has a jelly heart. Although I am not a jelly fan, I loved these ones. They weren’t dried, their texture was very good. Bahlsen has tons of gingerbread types, but unfortunately I couldn’t find the others. Maybe next year… Apart from the gingerbread, I’m also eating these super-cute “Zimtsterne”. They are perfect in combination with tea. When I first saw…

REVIEW: L’Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Lipidium Split Ends
I gave a try to this duble serum from L’Oréal Professionnel. It is supposed to fight against split ends. The package is very interesting. It has inside 2 bottles (15 ml each). One bottle contains a creamy texture, the other an oily stuff. When you press the pump, the products come out from both bottles in the same time. You have to mix them in your hand an apply on your ends. I already had some split ends when I started to use it. After using the entire bottle, I didn’t find new split ends, only the old ones. I think it did a good job preventing split ends. It also…

Snegurochka
In Russia, Santa Claus has a beautiful wife. Her name is Snegurochka (also called The Snow Maiden). She is lovely. They always share the gifts together. I love winter stories about winter women. I think one of the best stories is Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen”. I loved this story so much and I still find it amazing. I think Elsa from Frozen is inspired from the Snow Queen, but I don’t like (yeah, not a popular opinion) how she was drawn by Disney. I like the classy Snow Queen look, like this one: Also, here something very funny regarding Snegurochka from a once very famous cartoon (Nu zaietz, Nu pagadi…

Funny: Mystery Man – Shawn Cabello, Camila Mendes’ boyfriend
In 2019 there was this Youtube / Radio hit: Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello – Señorita. The song is nice, has a 90s vibe (reminds me of Aventura – Obsession). The video is cute too. The male singer is called Shawn Mendes and the woman is Camila Cabello. There is also a hit show called Riverdale. One of the stars is Camila Mendes. So here are 3 celebrities: Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello and Camila Mendes. There have been some jokes on the internet about Camila Mendes being the child of Shawn and Camila or that the singers got married, but the best joke is that there is somewhere a “Shawn Cabello”, who is Camila Mendes’ soul mate. Where…

One of my favorite Store-Bought Pies: Refletes du France – Gâteau breton à la crème de pruneaux
Refletes du France is in fact one of my favorite food brands. I could probably eat and enjoy 90% of their products. They have 438 products and each one of them is made from a traditional french recipe and they use high quality ingredients. Unfortunately, in my country there is available only a limited range of products. But, among this teeny-tiny range, I discovered what became my favorite pie. Yup, favorite pie. The product is kind of funny since it comes cut in half (probably they cut it so you could see the prune cream inside). It is called Gâteau breton à la crème de pruneaux, meaning “Breton cake with prune…

REVIEW: Moroccanoil Hair Products
I’ve got this little cute box with 3 Moroccanoil Hair Products: Moroccanoil Treatment Original Hydrating Styling Cream Luminous Hairspray Strong I’ve been using both the Moroccanoil Treatment Original and the Hydrating Styling Cream for a long time now. I think they are good products. They don’t do wonders, but they are pretty good. They don’t make my hair heavy and they smell nice, but not too powerful. I like them, although I do still have some split ends that maybe I shouldn’t have since I’ve been using so many hydrating and nourishing products for my hair. I also have the Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream in the bigger format. Since my hair is not thick,…

Messi, the Gentle Russian Puma
The way he looks and his beautiful eyes I have a new internet crush: it is fluffy, has big paws, big mesmerizing eyes, and a cute white kissable snout. Meet…. MESSI! Messi is a rescued puma (cougar) who lives with his loving family in a flat in Penza city, Russia. He was born on 30.10.2015, so now (oct 2019) Messi is almost 4 years old. There are two things that make this big cat very special: its extremely loving family and the way he looks at you, so gentle – right in your soul. The couple who takes care of Messi (Alexandr Dmitriev and Mariya Dmitriev – such sweet people) are…

Ulrike Schneider Schmid – Rammstein Christoph Schneider’s Wife
I came across this photo of Christoph Schneider and his wife, Ulrike Schneider Schmid. I’ve seen her in the past, but in this particular photo I think she looks great. She seems to be a mixture between Shirley Manson from Garbage in her youth and Eva Green. I love her make-up, both the eyes and the red lipstick, and I also like the color of the dress and her awesome nails (I also use a similar deep red color for my nails). And, of course, her attitude is pretty cool. Rammstein’s drummer, Christoph Schneider, also looks nice. I understand that she is a psychologist. How cool is that? She studied in Vienna and in…

REVIEW: OPI Peru Collection Nail Polish, Mini Pack – Mini Infinite Shine 4-Pack
OPI Infinite Shine Review I bought this OPI Peru Collection, Mini Pack Infinite Shine out of curiosity. I did’t need it but I was thinking to repurchase the original OPI Top Coat (I wrote about it on my OPI Top Coat Review). The shop didn’t have the top coat and I really wanted to try again some OPI products, so I got this mini package. With the original top coat, the polish lasted a long time and I was curious to see that if with the Infinite Shine OPI primer, polish and top coat (even if it is not the one I wanted) nails will also last for a long time. What I got I purchased…
