  • Why having a cat is relaxing

Why having a cat is relaxing

A cat is really easy to have as a pet and here are the reasons why I think having a cat-friend is relaxing.

    1.The purring sound

Some people listen to “white noise” before going to bed. I listen to my cat’s purrs. The purrs create an interesting vibe, a deep rythme which I find very relaxing.

    2. The massages

Receiving massages from a cat is really funny and, of course, relaxing.

The downside is that sometimes she stings me with her claws, but mostly she is gently and gives a nice massage.

    3. Having always someone to talk to

This one sounds awkward, but it’s true… My cat is very-very talkative. I am pretty sure that she thinks we speak the same language but

    4. All play, no worries

The cat gives a positive vibe. She is always optimist and happy and she comes at me and asks me to play with her. It is really funny.

    5. A true friend

Although people consider that dogs are man’s best friend, cats are also best friends. If you respect it and take care of your cat, it will definitively consider you its friend.

P.S. Some people find it so relaxing to have a cat that they got a very-very big cat: Puma Messi 🙂

    6. A good help in kitchen

With a cat, you never get bored when you cook. Either the cat wants to watch you and learn your skills, or it helps you taste the products, or keeps your feet worm just in case. Anyhow, it is fun!

For instance, look at this Japanese guy cooking with his cats (JunsKitchen):

  • How much playtime does a cat need per day?

How much playtime does a cat need per day?

Here is the thing with my sweet cat:

Every time around 10-11pm, her pupils dilate and she stars to show me her favorite toy.

She won’t play alone with the toy, but she will show me (if she has the chance) that she is in mood for play.

If I won’t play with her, she will eventually go to sleep, but she will have an unsettled sleep overnight. Also, she will be less happy.

So, how long does she like to play?

My cat is 8 years old and she needs to play for about one hour.

You might think that one hour is too much. How could you spend one precious hour every day in order to play with your pet-friend? Well… it might seem a lot, but it is also relaxing and somehow therapeutic.

A cat is not a toy. You have responsibilities towards it, you have to take care of it and make sure it has a lovely life.

So, your moral duty is to play with your cat, but you will also benefit from this interaction.

If you aren’t a cat person, obviously one hour each night to play with your cat is unbearable. But if you love cats, you should have fun playing with them.

    How old is my cat?

If you think that only young cats like to play, well my cat is 8 years old, which in human years means 48. She is not a young cat, but she is very active and loves to play.

She also stays outdoors for about 3-4 hours each day. There, she interacts with other cats, she climbs trees etc.

I don’t know how it would be if she would stay only indoor. She would probably need 2 hours playtime…

    Every cat is different

    Obviously.

As we, humans, are different, so are our cats. One will love to sleep, one will love to cuddle, one will be a gourmand and another will be very very active.

My cat loves a little bit of all, but especially loves to eat and play. She might already be a little bit too fluffy, but thankfully she exercises a lot 🙂

  • Mega super duper cute (and very talented) cat videos

Today I came across an original thing on the internet and I am very excited about it. An artist that works in video editing field uses his cat to “improve” some famous movies and tv series. Besides the fact that the final result is amazing, I also enjoyed watching the “behind the scenes” videos. The cat absolutely loves it and it is a good example against those who think that cats are hard to be trained and are stubborn.

So, here is an example of “cat in the video”. The movie is John Wick.

The cat’s name is Owl. The owner’s name is Thibault (Tibo) Charroppin. I think these videos show that he is really talented and also that he is a very patient and creative person.

Here is the behind the scene video. Amazing!

If you would like to support them, they have a Patreon account.

Also, you can follow them on Youtube or Instagram. They continue to create these super cute videos.

  • Taking your cat to the mall :)

Taking your cat to the mall 🙂

I was doing some shopping at the mall and suddenly I see a guy getting some attention from the ladys. The girls were stopping by and talking with him. I took a photo. Can you find the kitty? 🙂

So the guy was sitting on the bench with his mega super duper cute cate! He was looking at his phone, while his cat was looking with zero fear at the people passing by.

I went to the guy and asked him if I could pet the kitty and he said yes. The kitty was incredible big and sociable. Very very nice kitty! 😍 😍 😍

  • The Prodigy – Smack My Bitch Up (The Cat Cover Parody)

The Prodigy – Smack My Bitch Up (The Cat Cover Parody)

The year is 1997. The English band named “The Prodigy” has just released one of the coolest video ever made – Smack My Bitch Up (with the perfect music to go). The video is kind of offensive (for those who get easily offended), very sexy and mysterious, promiscuous and intriguing. Here it is, to refresh your memory:

In 2012 someone had a crazy idea for a remake of the video. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the original poster and creator of the video. It is a pity since he/she has done a great job with this cover. If I was a member of the band, I would have personally congratulated and thanked the person for this fantastic cover. Here it is:

I think this is one of the best video covers / parodies of an official video ever made!

Good job to whomever did this!

  • What Santa Paws Brought Me and My Cat For Christmas

What Santa Paws Brought Me and My Cat For Christmas

Hi, everyone! A few days ago I was visited by Santa Paws! Me and my cat Midi received very cute gifts. I got a Yves Rocher Festive Shower Gel and Midi got a Whiskas treat. Please notice my cute little Christmas tree with the gifts 🙂 .

The Yves Rocher Festive Shower Gel smells really nice. It is part of the Yves Rocher Christmas Collection with “Marvelous Berries”. I’ve used it with a big, fluffy massage sponge and it made tons of foam, which I liked a lot. There are 2 things I like most about this product:

    • It has 98% natural ingredients;
    • Its cute, Christmassy package.

Midi hasn’t eaten his gift yet, but I am sure he will love it!

Until Midi eats his gift from Santa Paws, this nosy lemur wants to see what we got for Christmas.

It may seem he is trying to steal Midi’s gift, but in fact he is just checking. He is a really nice guy, and so is Santa Paws who got us these lovely presents!

  • Surprise guest rests on the Subaru Forester’s hood scoop

Surprise guest rests on the Subaru Forester’s hood scoop

Today I was sitting in my car, preoccupied with my phone, when suddenly I heard a noise. Something definitely hit my car.

I raised my eyes and saw a big, beautiful feral tomcat. He didn’t saw me and he just sat down, with his back at me, looking at the building. When I took my phone to take him a picture, he heard me and turned his head for this nice photo:

The thing is that here the weather is cold. On the other hand, the hood scoop is the warmest part of the hood and I had just turned off the engine. So this majestic guy thought he would spend a nice time sitting a little while on something warm and cozy.

In this time of the year, my Subaru Forester always  has dirty paws prints on its hood because it is the only car with a scoop on my street and the cats definitely prefer to sit on it rather than on the other cars. I think these “animal prints” look very funny. I love them!

P.S. The poor tomcat didn’t crack my windshield. A stone chipped it and then the crack spread all over…
