  • REVIEW: Moroccanoil Smooth Shampoo + Conditioner

I’ve used from Moroccanoil the Repair Shampoo, the Moroccanoil Moisture & Shine Shampoo and now the Smooth shampoo and conditioner.

What I liked about the Smooth duo:

    • It really reduces the frizz without weighing down the hair
    • It does prevent split ends
    • Hair is easy-ish to comb after washing it with this Moroccanoil duo
    • Hair feels healthy, smells nice
    • It is easy with the scalp, it doesn’t make it itchy or greasy and it doesn’t create dandruff

What I didn’t like about it:

    • Although the smell is really nice, it comes a time in a girl’s life when she wants something that contains as few chemicals as possible. So, I would definitely prefer a shampoo version without any fragrance.
    • I didn’t find a clear table with all its ingredients and I fear that the silicones in it might “strangle” my hair on the long term. Although I am not sure about this, I have a feeling that it would be better to alternate the Moroccanoil Smooth duo with a more natural shampoo and conditioner.

    TIP:

All Moroccanoil Shampoos and conditioners must stay 2 minutes on hair. Don’t apply and wash instantly, they need a little time to action.

    General feeling:

The Smooth duo was better for my fine, long, frizzy hair than the Repair duo, but not as good as the Moisture and Shine version.

  • REVIEW: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

REVIEW: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

I got this hair serum hoping it would make my hair:

smooth, condition and seal hair strands

wonders to make hair silky, shiny and frizz-free in any weather

These statements are written on Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum’s web page. I generally don’t believe in “wonders” and I don’t like when companies promise “miracles”, but I couldn’t find anything better, so I bought this Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum.

I have long, thin, very frizzy hair. Serums generally work better for thicker hair, but I really hoped it would do something for my hair. But after using it… I was like:

Yeap. It did almost nothing. The frizz was still enormous.

Also, after using this serum, I felt that more split ends appeared… :/

What it did was to make my hair easy to comb. It’s still something… 🙂

And it smells pretty nice, but really, if I wanted a parfume I would have bought a perfume, not a hair serum.

So, will I ever buy again the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum? Once I almost did it and then I thought to myself it is a too expensive detangler…
