    REVIEW: Moroccan Oil Shampoo after 1 Month of Usage

    There are several types of Moroccan Oil Shampoos:

    • Moisture-and-shine Shampoo Fragrance Originale (and another 2 types of fragrances)
    • Hydrating Shampoo
    • Repair Shampoo
    • Smooth Shampoo
    • Color Shampoo
    • Curl Enhancing Shampoo

    I’ve been using the first one, the Moroccan Oil Moisture and shine Shampoo, the one with the original fragrance and I’ve already written a first impression review about this Moroccan Oil Shampoo. That review contains also my impressions about the Moisture and shine conditioner, which I’ve been using together with the shampoo.

    Moroccan Oil Shampoo Review

    Now, after 1 Month, my thoughts about this shampoo are:

    • it smells amazing;
    • the foam feels nice and luxorious;
    • good for fine hair
    • it is gentle with the scalp (the Moroccan Oil Shampoo is really suitable for sensible scalp);
    • although it is pretty moisturizing, it is not enough to “feed” the hair. I also feel the need for conditioner, styling cream and nourishing oils;
    • the shine it gives is moderate, but pretty good;
    • the hair is slightly less frizzy;
    • it is fluid and I tend to use it a lot, so I would finish a bottle of shampoo in about 45 days.

    Conclusion: The Moroccan Oil Moisture and shine Shampoo is the best shampoo I’ve ever used, although it is not as good as I hoped it would be.

    If you are in doubt about purchasing this shampoo or if you have questions about it, leave them here and I will try to answer them.

  • REVIEW: Moroccanoil Body Moisture & Shine Shampoo + Conditioner Fragrance Originale

    REVIEW: Moroccanoil Body Moisture & Shine Shampoo + Conditioner Fragrance Originale

    I used a few times the Moroccanoil Body Moisture & Shine Shampoo and the Conditioner (both “Fragrance Originale”), so here are my thoughts about them. Keep in mind that I have thin, long and frizzy hair. These products are suitable for all hair types, but the review is written from my (hair’s) point of view.

    General opinions

    Even though it doesn’t have an astonishing effect on hair (let’s get real, no shampoo in this world will have such an effect), it really did make my hair look better and it was noticeable, not only by me, but also by my husband and my friends.

    These are some pricey products. I am not sure yet if the price is justifiable, although I think the Moroccanoil Body Moisture & Shine Shampoo is the best shampoo I’ve ever used. I am not sure about the conditioner. It smells incredible, it leaves hair soft and kind-of easy to comb, but I guess there are similar conditioners on the market, less pricey (although they wouldn’t probably smell so good).

    Also, washing my hair with these products really felt luxurious. The shampoo’s foam is so soft and calming and the conditioner smells so nice. It relaxed me and made me feel good.

    How did it make my hair better?

    • slightly less frizz
    • good hydration
    • very good shine
    • amazing and persistent perfume
    • the scalp feels great, no itching or dandruff or anything

    The fragrance

    Even though the shampoo bottle and the conditioner bottle look the same, their fragrance is different. It surprised me, but I was glad. It would have been boring if both the shampoo and the conditioner would have smelled the same. The shampoo has a more fresh, unisex smell. The conditioner has the actual Moroccanoil signature scent, it is the one who lets your hair smell like you dipped it in a bottle of Dior.

    Good to know

    • Both Moroccanoil Body Moisture & Shine Shampoo and the Conditioner must be left 2 minutes each on hair to rest. Don’t cut time, it is really worth it.
    • The Conditioner wasn’t enough to make my hair super-easy to comb, so I had to use a serum on my ends.
    • The biggest downside of the shampoo is the fact that the hair looks good only for 2 days and that’s it. At the end of the second day it looks greasy.

    Will I repurchase the Moroccanoil products?

    Probably yes. I would repurchase the shampoo for the way it calms my scalp and I would repurchase the conditioner because it smells really, but really great. I don’t know if these are strong arguments, but momentarily I don’t know any better hair products.
