I bought this OPI Peru Collection, Mini Pack Infinite Shine out of curiosity. I did’t need it but I was thinking to repurchase the original OPI Top Coat (I wrote about it on my OPI Top Coat Review). The shop didn’t have the top coat and I really wanted to try again some OPI products, so I got this mini package.
With the original top coat, the polish lasted a long time and I was curious to see that if with the Infinite Shine OPI primer, polish and top coat (even if it is not the one I wanted) nails will also last for a long time.
What I got
OPI Infinite Shine Primer, Nail Polish, Top Coat
I purchased this little cute package. It includes:
2 Colors: OPI Infinite Shine (Peru Collection: Alpaca My Bags and Yes My Condor Can-Do! – funny names)
OPI Mini Infinite Shine Primer
OPI Mini Infinite Shine Gloss
You’re supposed to use the primer as a base coat, then 2 coats of color and finish with the top coat.
The polishes are supposed to be “long wear” and OPI promises “Up to 11 days of gel-like wear and shine. Easy application and removal“.
My thought about the OPI Infinite Shine products
The primer and the top coat are kind of sticky. They were a little bit hard to apply. Now, the nail polishes were different. Alpaca My Bags was easy to apply, but Yes My Condor Can-Do! was sticky.

Infinite Shine – Alpaca My Bags OPI nail polish
This bluish color was easy to apply. First chipped nail appeared after 4 days. The others lasted perfectly about 6 days.

In the instructions it is written that you must apply the nail polish in 2 THIN coats, but this is an impossible task since the dark red polish is so sticky and heavy. It was difficult to apply, but in the end the result was pretty good. It did take a little bit longer to dry, but it lasted a lot without any chipped nails.
Final impression on OPI Infinite Shine
Since the top coat is not very fluid, it took a longer time to dry. I’ve experienced in the past similar problems with the OPI Top Coat. Anyhow, it did dry eventually and it didn’t leave “sheet marks”.
It doesn’t seem to be shinier than other ordinary nail polishes, although the products are all from the “infinite shine” series.
They lasted a lot compared with other products, but I feel that the classic top coat from OPI lasts even longer, even if it may take a little more time to completely dry.
REVIEW UPDATE – 8 days without chips!
I tried again “Yes My Condor Can-Do!” OPI super shine nail polish, together with the primer and the topcoat. This second time, the nails lasted without any chips for 8 days, considering that in each day I did some cooking and light housework.
You can see how the nail polish cracked under the top coat in the usual spots it would normally chip, but the top coat held it together and it didn’t fall off. These cracks appeared progressively, and they started to appear about 4-5 days after I did my nails. I don’t know why the first time I did my nails with this nail polish it lasted a little less. Maybe I didn’t apply it correctly. Anyhow, I am truly amazed by the long wear this OPI kit provides. I think all in all these are some really good products.
Over the years I got quite the “collection” of nail polish colors. Almost 10 years ago I saw this photo and I thought it looked very nice and I must have something similar to it.
I didn’t get the cat, but I got the nail polishes 😀
Anyhow, years passed, many little bottles went to trash, others took their places, but I realized (as I’m sure most girls do) that I only use one or two colors, while the others rest unused until they dry out.
The nail polish color I used most was a dark “browny” red from a local brand and it was really bad, chipped instantly and turned yellow my nails. But it didn’t matter. I bought this little bottle over and over again because I liked the color so much.
Somehow I discovered a very similar nail polish color from Rimmel London (60 Seconds Super Shine).
I was so happy to discover this nail polish. It does have a few advantages:
It drys quickly (but definitely not in 60 seconds as it is written on the bottle, I’ve wrote an entire article about the 60 seconds problem here);
It doesn’t turn the nails yellow;
It doesn’t chip easily;
It is shiny and looks nice.
Rimmel London calls this color “Berries and Cream”. It’s a nice name :D. And the number is 340.
Since I’m so in love with this color and I’ve been using it for so many years now, I might try to find an even better nail polish (same color, obviously). A friend used a similar nail polish from Sephora, but it wasn’t as good as the Rimmel. It chipped instantly.
I would like a nail polish that would dry even faster and would be kinder to my nails. But until I find this perfect nail polish, I stick with my all time favorite Rimmel London Berries and Cream. ❤
