The Magic of November…

For me, November brings a certain magic. I will try to list a few of my favorite November particularities.

The coziness

The summer sun is gone, as well its energy with all the swimming pools and seas sides and splashes and sand on your feet and dance music and cold beers… The uncomfortable heat is gone as well, the desperate need to drink tons of water and the preoccupation not to stay in sun for too long.

Silly Monstober is gone as well.

The winter is not here yet, with its frost, heavy snow, dirty snow after heavy snow, cold cold cold, Christmas hysteria…

It’s just this cozy weather, with rainy days and sunny days, no worries… You get to drink hot beverages, wear cute socks, have romantic walks, admire the beautiful autumn colors…

Hot chocolate milk or tea + Reading

I, for one, can’t drink hot chocolate milk during summer. But November is the perfect month to begin drinking it. The same stands for hot tea. I finally can drink tons of hot beverages, while reading or writing. I absolutely love this feeling and I missed it so much during the hot days in summer.

The leather jacket

I love wearing my leather jackets. I start wearing them in October, but in November they fit better. Maybe I will toss an sweater under the jacket and I can also use my big scarves. Also, there is the cute over sized jeans jacket and the nice little comfy boots…

Writing, inspiration and creativity

I’m not actually a dude, I don’t have a beard and I definitely don’t like to write in public, but I liked this photo, especially the sun spots and their warmth which are present in some sunny November days.

Anyhow, I always write in November, I am relaxed and inspired in this month, so I try to get as much as possible out of it.

The silence, the rain and the beautiful smell

November is such a still month. Nothing happens, there is no fuss, only quiet rainy days and ethereal sunny moments. Just as I said above, the time is perfect for reading and writing.

Forest walks

In November’s sunny days you could go for a walk in the forest and you could also collect cones, chestnuts and beautiful leaves.

November movies

The last 3 months of the year have each one of them a specific list of movies. It’s kind of funny if you think about it. You don’t say “August” movies, you say “summer movies”, but there is definitely a specific list of movies for Monstober, for November and for December. 😀

Anyhow, the first November movie that comes in my mind is “Sweet November”. You’ve probably already seen it. The main characters are played by Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron ❤.

There are a few more movies that might have a “November feeling”, maybe something like The Beautiful Person (2008), The Lake House (2006) (Keanu Reeves strikes again :P) or even Twilight (2008) (because vampires don’t stay in the sun :D).

Pixie Dust

The last, but not the least, one of my favorite things about November is its “pixie dust” effect. When the wind blows all those golden little leaves, it’s like fairies are pouring pixie dust all over. It is a mesmerizing effect and unfortunately a photo can’t really capture it. You have to see it.
