My favorite cat breeds

All my favorite cat breeds are natural breeds or almost natural (the ones that were bred for their specific beauty, like Ragdoll, not for some so-called “funny” health problem…). My favorite cat breeds are the following:

Domestic short-haired or long-haired cats

I really really like domestic short/long hair cats because they are a natural breed without health problems, they are smart, affectionate, great hunters, independent, cute and funny.

Tuxedo cats

This specific one from the GIF is famous on the internet. I call it “Tuxedo cat lift me up” 🙂 .

This black and white cat is very very loving. It is also a domestic short/long hair cat, but I prefer to call it “tuxedo” cat for its unique coat and also because its personality is slightly different from the one’s above. The Tuxedo Cat is even more attached to its owner, it lives to be near humans and it really likes humans. Also, it is a very popular cat (Tom from Tom and Jerry, Sylvester from Looney Tunes, Felix the Cat and so on).

Maine Coon

Although this cat is very large and extremely beautiful, it is a natural breed, native to the state of Maine in North America. I still can’t believe that such a big cat is so gentle and domesticated. I like it because it is:

majestic
smart
gentle (in fact it is also called “Gentle Giant”)
has tassels on ears
comes in every color

Also, did I tell you how big the Maine Coon can get? 😀

British Shorthair

I like this cat breed because I absolutely love their blueish coat, their cute round head and I also like their personality – these cats are very smart and they can also play fetch (Maine Coon can too).

Turkish Van

Turkish Van has always been one of my favorite cat breeds for one reason: they love water and swimming! They are similar to Maine Coon, but are a little bit smaller and have greater love for water.

Ragdoll

This cute little pie is the Ragdoll cat, another intelligent, affectionate and very very beautiful cat! It has mesmerizing blue eyes and pink nose. Although it is a muscular, big cat, it seems very delicate.
